Santo Domingo de Guzmán or simply known today as Santo Domingo is not only the capital and largest city of the Dominican Republic but also the oldest city in the Americas.
Founded by the Spaniards over 500 years ago, Santo Domingo is home to the first university, cathedral, castle, monastery and fortress in the New World. The city’s Zona Colonial has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
Join us for a full day (10 hours) of historical and cultural discovery of the vibrant capital of Santo Domingo. Located about 200 km from the white-sand beaches of Punta Cana (3 hour drive), this Santo Domingo sightseeing tour is a must for anyone visiting the Dominican Republic.
